Homemade Almond Milk

Homemade almond milk is an easy way to have delicious, extra creamy nut milk at home. It’s watery store bought cousin can not compare. 

Perfect for smoothies, cereal, and on its own! Here’s the recipe step by step:


Ingredients:

1 cup raw almonds

3 cups water

2 pitted medjool dates

Pinch of salt

(Optional: vanilla bean or extract)


Directions:

1. Soak nuts overnight (or 8 hrs) in a large bowl using plenty of water.

2. Rinse and Drain nuts

3. Blend soaked nuts in blender with other ingredients on high for 2-3 minutes. 

4. Pour contents through a nut milk bag and squeeze all excess liquid. 

5. Enjoy! 


Store in refrigerator for up to 3-4 days (separation is normal, just shake!) or freeze for 1 month (don’t forget to leave room for expansion)
